Karmnik Warsaw, Poland

Karmnik is where I go for a meal and a beverage when I arrive in Warsaw, Poland. The first time I came here it was great! I have been back three times and it is always welcoming. The food is good and we always feel special. The food is excellent.

Karmnik is on Piwna in the Stare Maisto (Old Town). ul. Piwna 4A, 00-265 Warsaw. http://www.yelp.com/biz/karmnik-warszawa

I had oven roasted duck and water with gas and it was wonderful. The potatoes were pan browned and some mashed with some chunks.  There was pear and strawberry on the plate along with current for a great counter balance of sweet and tangy.

We lodged at the Ibis Warsaw Centrum and getting to Stare Maisto was easy using public transportation (tram).

Outside the hotel door we walked to the end of the street and purchased tickets for the tram. It was only a few stops later that we stepped off the tram and climbed steps to the Stare Miasto. A short walk and we were in a cozy gathering of 10 people laughing and eating at Karmnik.
