Blog length

How long should each blog post be? Certainly greater 250 words and somewhere less than 1,100 words is the sweet spot. It is easy to keep track of the word count as it is at the bottom of the input screen on the WordPress Post edit page.

The following is not a required book!  However, it is a very small book that can be picked up on the internet. If you want a “light to pack” (only 80 pages) reference on English and writing this is the one we would suggest.

Inspiration

To today’s learner, who is steeped in social media, writing more than 140 characters is sometimes a real shift in communication. Perhaps it is this nudge to remind the writer that less is not necessarily more. Darren Rowse at ProBlogger has one post titled 20 Types of Blog Posts – Battling Bloggers Block that might help.
